Job Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer ensures the quality and reliability of software products and applications. This involves designing and implementing test plans, performing manual and automated tests, identifying, and reporting issues, and working closely with development and DevOps teams to resolve defects. Success in this position looks like meeting or exceeding established quality standards and continuously improving testing processes. 

The QA Engineer plays a crucial role in the company’s software development process by ensuring that products meet customer expectations and contribute to the company; competitive advantage. They work closely with development, product management, and DevOps teams to ensure that the product experience is seamless and of high quality.

This position will be based in our office in Prague in a hybrid mode – we want you to be in the office at least one day a week.

What Will You Do

• Support Roivenue web application to meet commercial SLAs
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for our web that ensure high-quality features and releases.
• Report test run results and issues found to developers and create Jira tickets for bugs.
• Support the validation and signoff during the release phase of our products with the execution of end-to-end acceptance and regression tests.
• Communication with developers, product owner, and customer success team to clarify understanding of reported issues so they can be replicated and tested for regression.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. product owner, developers, DevOps) to clarify understanding of reported issues and to identify system requirements

About You

• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Experience with manual testing for Web applications
• Writing automated tests and/or using record-replay frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Valuable:
  • Development experience is a plus
  •  Basic knowledge of writing end-to-end tests using Selenium or another testing framework
  • Maintaining a test-base GIT repository
  • Experience testing APIs and REST services
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process 
  • Experience with Jira or another issue tracking product
